Steven M. Abrams, J.D., M.S.
Steven M. Abrams is a litigation attorney licensed to practice in South Carolina and New York. He concentrates his practice on civil remedies for electronic and internet privacy violations, defamation, computer law, cybersecurity policy and procedures, computer forensics, and e-discovery.
Abrams has worked for nearly 30 years as a digital forensics instructor and investigator. He completed over 1,100 investigations for a wide variety of clients including at U.S. embassies around the globe.
An attorney since 2007, Abrams has worked on dozens of legal cases involving internet privacy violations, anonymous electronic defamation, and hacking.
As a trained investigator and a lawyer, Abrams has a unique set of skills that can help law firms and their clients enhance their ability to maneuver the ever-changing field of cyber technology through strategic advice as a co-counsel and subject matter legal expert during cases.
A magna cum laude graduate of the Charleston School of Law, Abrams also has a master’s degree from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology and computer science from Allegheny College.
Through the years, Abrams has published articles, given speeches, and taught continuing legal education courses in cyber law and computer forensics to members of the military, law enforcement, private investigators, and attorneys.
In 2019, Abrams retired his law enforcement commission after 11 years of active duty as a South Carolina State Constable to dedicate his full time to the practice of law and digital forensics. Abrams leverages his unique blend of experience to provide unparalleled cyber law and digital forensics services for his clients.
